libtext-trim-perl software package provides module for remove leading and/or trailing whitespace from strings, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libtext-trim-perl
libtext-trim-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libtext-trim-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libtext-trim-perl *
You will get with libtext-trim-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
